Wed Thurs and Friday Nov 30

Wednesday we had a soft opening for the new unit and I got to conference with most of the students in the class for their paper due Dec 4th

Thursday we had the quiz for the DOAS unit and then I think I got the rest of the class that was there in class conferenced with for the paper.

Friday we got the unit for Non-Fiction started officially and we had to watch something cool, so we watched Dr Brian Cox talk about the Thin Blue Line.

Tuesday Nov 27

We did a bit more on the writing today in class.

We will move on to the end of that tomorrow.

I did conference with every student present about their piece of writing, too.

We worked a bit on the stuff due Thursday, too.

So today in class we talked about the Pice of Writring we have to hand in ... and the due dates for DOAS part II, too.

We also got the questions for the rest of DOAS and ...lots of things.

I think by my count, we have 19 classes until the Break. Keep going!

Thursday and Friday Nov 23

Man ... Thursday was a football game that most of the school attended and Friday was the PD or PA Day ... I had to go to Corpus and learn about teaching stuff.

It was pretty cool.

In any case, we'll get back at it on Monday.

So ... it was a make up day. My art on the board wasn't nearly as good as it should have been, but ... I'm going to say one more time that I'm an English teacher and my sketching skills are lacking ... for now.

In any case, I had about ten students write a make up quiz and the other half of class were putting together the character sketches for the class.

Tuesday Nov 20

So we got through the one version of the play.

We need to do a few more things before putting this unit to be and getting on to the next thing, though. We will continue tomorrow and then get on with the non-fiction unit!

Monday Nov 19

A student in another class said I bear a resemblance to this teacher.

This week is a wild one ... I hope you strap yourself in!

Monday and Tuesday are going to be the "normal" days.

Wednesday is the International Food Day fundraiser schedule.

Thursday is the Football buy out day.

Today we got through to the start of Part 2 of Death of a Salesman and got 1,3 and 4 from 51-74 for homework.

We also chatted about doing a make up quiz date as there were so many away from school on Friday. It's all good, we will make it happen.
